Unraveling the Mysteries


Tuft University's Sam Kounaves, a co-investigator on NASA's Phoenix Lander Mission, spends his time unraveling fundamental questions in planetary science by applying "extreme analytical chemistry" to extreme Earth habitats that in many ways replicate the Red Planet: extreme habitats like Death Valley and Antarctica.
